Current Project
Building and renovating homes to make positive change in our community and the lives of Future Homeowners.
Norris Village is an affordable housing community in the City of Winchester’s historic North End neighborhood. Blue Ridge Habitat for Humanity (BRHFH) purchased and renovated five homes in Phase I (2014) and built five new owner-occupied homes in Phase II (2021.) During Phase III of the Norris Village project, scheduled for 2026, BRHFH will renovate six homes and build a seventh.
All seven Norris Village Phase III properties are future homes for participants in our Homeownership Program. The program empowers qualified local homebuyers, otherwise priced out of the traditional housing market, through education, financial counseling, and “sweat-equity.”
Homeownership applications for this project were accepted from January 23, 2026 to March 24, 2026 and are currently being reviewed.
Homeownership applications are now open for the smaller 1 bed/1bath home. Application deadline is August 21, 2026.
